A new Low Pressure Area (LPA) has persisted east of Mindanao, about 335 km ESE of Davao City. Recent animated infrared satellite imagery depicts an ill-defined low level circulation center embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Sea surface temperature is favorable for development. Winds in the area are estimated at 25 kph.
We shall be keeping an eye on this new disturbance for possible development. Stay tuned.
